Major Responsibilities
• Legal Requirements Follow-up: closely track laws and regulations that might affect the company's business operations, identify risk and prepare mitigation measures together with business teams with support of responsible lawyers
• Compliance Trainings: develop compliance training plan, and work as the leading trainer to deliver most of the compliance trainings on various legal and compliance topics. 
• Compliance Communication: develop compliance communication plan, review all compliance communication messages and conduct face-to-face compliance communication. 
• Corporate Project Support: as assigned by line manager and General Council, work as the key contact / coordinator of company-J for some corporate projects, and provide combined legal/compliance support to the project team after internal alignment within company-J.
• Compliance Framework and Strategies: contribute to the development of compliance framework and strategies for the company.
• Compliance Committee Office: support other compliance team members in performing responsibilities of the compliance committee office of the company, including but not limited to:
(i) follow up decisions made and tasks assigned by the compliance committee meetings;
(ii) review compliance related policies and internal guidelines of the company, make recommendations regarding necessary amendments thereto, and formulates new policies and internal guidelines based on change and/or development of the relevant laws, legal/administrative regulations, regulatory provisions and industrial rules;
(iv) develop methodologies, tools and programs for the identification , assessment, treatment, control and monitoring of overall compliance risks of the company;
(v) assist relevant departments of the company in handling compliance-related risks and crisis (e.g. investigations by administrative authorities), offer support in analyzing causes for compliance risks and crisis, and in connection therewith, make recommendations to and/or requiring corrective/improvement measures from relevant departments of the company; 
(vi) take other actions that are required to support the performance of the compliance committee's responsibilities; and
(vii) support convening compliance committee meetings.  
• Compliance Investigation: take part in internal investigations of potential cases of misconduct if required by line manager or General Counsel.
• Others:
- Perform special projects, as needed, to support legal and/or compliance initiatives;
- Perform other work assigned by line manager and General Counsel

 

Qualifications       
• Master of Laws or equivalent
• Lawyer Qualification Certificate or Legal Professional Qualification Certificate
• Legal requirement monitoring, risk assessment and report/memo preparation skill
• Training (including PPT preparation and presentation) skill
• Communication skill      
• Language skills in both English and Chinese (written and oral)
• Familiar with Microsoft tools, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel 
• Self-motivation 
• Enjoy fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Team working spirits
• Working experience in a multinational company/international law firm as legal professional
• Working experience in compliance.
